Front Door Fabrics and Interiors trunk show debuting the new Madcap Cottage
Guest Blog: Welcome Christina Spencer of Front Door Fabrics as she recaps our recent event with Jason Oliver Nixon and John Loecke of Madcap Cottage.
Our Front Door Fabrics and Interiors trunk show debuting the new Madcap Cottage Into the Garden collection for Robert Allen @ Home was a true garden party soiree swirling with hydrangea blossoms and lattice-y patterns from the collection. O ur owner, a talented employee, store pup, and the fabric-genius gents behind Madcap Cottage were all donning some enchanting Into the Garden prints in the form of belted skirts, aprons, bandannas, and suit jackets, respectively, and all of our interior designers dressed up in perfect color coordination out of excitement for the day.
Even the cupcakes and food by Delectables by Holly ( a catering company in Charlotte, NC) were in perfect coordination to the chintzy confection of a collection with presentation of drinks and canapes integrating delicious layers of the various prints - we'd say this new Robert Allen Design line was a hit and we were so thrilled to have had Jason Oliver Nixon and John Loecke here to meet and greet and answer questions with all of our attendees and loyal customers and clients.
The unique detailing and colors of the varied patterned coordinates in the Madcap for Robert Allen line beg to be utilized in a whimsical aesthetic display with special attention to bespoke detail which is why we had a vintage chair and ottoman reupholstered in a combination of several of the patterns from the line especially for the trunk show and perched the pretty piece right in front of some gorgeous custom hydrangea striped panels out of the Windy print in color Rhubarb in order to help our customers think outside of the box and envision the distinctive ways that they can utilize Madcap cottage fabrics in their own home. In a style of aesthetics that recalls the classic design approach of Dorthy Draper and reincarnates timeless with a twist old school preppy, this elevated sense of customization with the line evokes a "more is more" desire in regards to pattern layering to create dynamic and complete works of art signature to each customer and each home it is utilized in. We encourage all of our customers and clients to go mad for Madcap and not to be afraid to explore the endless and impeccably chic array of possibilities that such an artistic approach to pattern layers and combinations unlocks!
